B Start-up Launchpad is an entrepreneurship event supported by Virgin Start Up and run by the University of Birmingham, it will be kicking off in June. The program differs to others the university has run in the past, training participants using actual practitioners, entrepreneurs and real businesses (as much as possible) rather than trainers. The program takes a “Learning by doing” approach whenever possible, giving participants a chance to try what they’ve learnt.
I'll be running a workshop aimed at participants on the program on the 14th June, talking about my journey, and specifically relating my experience to web and app development. I want you to leave the session equipped with the tools to create a high performing website to promote your business. I will be demonstrating the best practice ways to present your content, value messaging, and how to tie this all together to convert visitors into real paying customers.

Edit:
I was impressed with the format of the event, and those attending were clearly very motivated to get involved and ask questions. Slides from my presentation can be downloaded here.
